The diagram illustrates a nine zone platen with six, three zone X-ROD Insertion Heaters. Each zone can be sensed and controlled individually. A platen with 6 elements can be designed with 6 zones utilizing a X-ROD with 2 independent zones. For even more precise control, the platen can be comprised of even more zones, depending upon what's practical.
